Dr. Allen Kamrava, MD, Medical Director
Allen Kamrava, MD, is board-certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of pilonidal cysts in the greater Los Angeles area. Dr. Kamrava has a certification in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques and completed a medicine and business administration dual degree at Temple University (School of Medicine and Fox School of Business respectively). He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Kamrava’s skillset is highly specialized thanks to his time at the University of Pennsylvania’s major tertiary care center. Dr. Eiman Firoozmand
Eiman Firoozmand is a board-certified general surgeon who works with our team. Dr. Firoozmand is also the medical director at the Fissure/Fistula Surgery Center of Excellence at La Peer Health Systems and works as Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s Chief of the Division of Colorectal Surgery. Dr. Firoozmand specializes in optimizing patient outcomes by utilizing advanced treatment techniques for sacrococcygeal fistulas. He has been extensively published in a number of peer-reviewed publications that includes the Journal of Trauma and The American Surgeon. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis, and his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Liza M. Capiendo
Liza M. Capiendo, MD, is a board-certified colorectal surgeon and specializes in the treatment of colorectal issues in women. Currently the Clinical Chief of the Department of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Capiendo received her medical degree from Loma Linda University. She was awarded the Surgical Resident of the Year award for three years during her residency at King/Drew Medical Center. She also attended USC’s Medical Center to complete her Colon and Rectal Fellowship.
Gary H. Hoffman
Gary H. Hoffman, MD, is double board certified in colorectal surgery and general surgery. His numerous accolades include an Attending Surgeon position at The Division of General Surgery and the Division of Colorectal Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine. Dr. Hoffman has been listed as a prestigious SUPER DOCTOR for two years in a row. He specializes in a number of procedures including pilonidal cyst treatment, hemorrhoidectomies, and treating malignant colon/rectal growths with minimally invasive treatments.
David P. Magner, MD
Dr. Magner is board-certified in minimally-invasive and laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery. Through an interdisciplinary, patient-centered approach, Dr. Magner specializes in the treatment of all aspects of colorectal disease. Dr. Magner’s expertise includes pelvic floor dysfunction, benign anorectal conditions, advanced gastrointestinal malignancies, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Maziar Ghodsian, MD
Dr. Maziar Ghodsian, or Dr. Maz, as he is so kindly referred to by his patients, is a highly specialized Proctologist and Colorectal Endoscopist. He specializes in diseases of the colon and rectal surgery as well as aesthetic anal beautification and rejuvenation. Dr. Maz also performs diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopies for colon cancer and rectal cancer.
Dr. Maz obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Philosophy from the University of California, Riverside. Dr. Maz continued his training at the Johns Hopkins University, where he received a second Bachelor of Science in Nursing followed by a Juris Doctor with a concentration on Healthcare Law and Policy from the Pace University School of Law. He then attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Southern California and completed his internship at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Dr. Maz completed his residency training in Proctologic Surgery at Ohio University-Grandview Medical Center/Kettering Health Network in Dayton, Ohio. Additionally, Dr. Maz completed a portion of his residency training in Proctologic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Cedars Sinai Medical Center with world renowned experts. Dr. Maz is a Board Member of the American Osteopathic College of Proctology.
Dr. Maz is one of only two practicing Proctologic Surgeons in California that have completed a residency in Proctology.
